- #84443
ingredients
6 pork chops
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup oats
2 teaspoons butter
2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
mild or hot pepper jelly, to taste
1/2 cup preferred BBQ sauce
directions
Sprinkle clean pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
Put flour and oats in a gallon size plastic bag.
Heat olive oil and butter in a large frying pan on medium heat.
Put one pork chop in the bag at a time and gently shake to coat. Place pork chops in frying pan, sprinkle with seasoned salt and fry on medium heat until golden brown.
Put pork chops in a large baking dish. Heat pepper jelly in microwave for approximately 1 minute, 30 seconds at a time, stirring each time until jelly forms a liquid. Pour into a medium size bowl and add BBQ sauce; stir and pour over chops.
Cover completely with foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 45 minutes.
Don't over bake or you will dry out your pork chops. You will have a wonderfully tasty sweet sauce in the bottom of the baking dish to pour over your chops if you like!
