- add review
- #22781

2-5 hrs
ingredients
4 pork chops, about 3/4-inch thick, fat trimmed
1 jar (16 ounce size) sauerkraut, undrained
directions
Place the pork chops in the bottom of the crock pot. Try to get them in a single layer with as little overlap as possible.
Evenly pour the sauerkraut over the chops.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours or until the pork chops are cooked through.
Serve the chops with the sauerkraut.
If a less tangy meal is preferred, rinse and drain the sauerkraut before adding to the crock pot. Add 1/4 cup of chicken or vegetable broth to the crock pot and proceed with the recipe.
If desired, brown the pork chops in a skillet before adding to the crock pot.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
