ingredients
1 tablespoon butter
4 bananas, peeled and sliced in 1-inch thick
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup rum
directions
Melt the butter in a flameproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bananas and cook, stirring gently, until lightly browned.
Stir in the brown sugar and confectioners' sugar. Mix well.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the rum. Carefully ignite the rum using a long-handled match or lighter.
When the flames subside, serve the bananas and sauce over ice cream or other desserts such as cheesecake or angel food cake.
