Cajun barbecue butter is a delicious and easy way to add some extra kick to your foods. Use it to saute shrimp, baste on corn on the cob, melt over a grilled steak, or slather on steamed veggies.
under 30 minutes
ingredients
1 1/2 pound unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
5 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
directions
Place the softened butter in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed with an electric mixer until it is whipped and creamy.
Add the cayenne, black pepper, salt, crushed red pepper, thyme, basil, oregano, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Beat on medium speed until combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Transfer the Cajun barbecue butter to a covered dish and store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
nutrition data
Nutritional data has not been calculated yet.The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
