These perfectly seasoned burgers are pan-fried and served on toasted buns with onions, fresh tomato, and topped off with a fried egg. You can cook the egg to your desired doneness - if you don't like them runny, cook them a few more minutes or cook them over easy to speed up the process.
1 1/2 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 slices Bermuda onion
4 tablespoons butter
4 eggs
4 slices tomato
4 hamburger buns, split, toasted, and buttered
Combine the ground beef with the seasoned salt and Worcestershire sauce until mixed but do not overwork the mixture. Shape into patties and set aside.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add half the butter. When melted, add the sliced onions and cook until softened, turning once. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
Add the beef patties to the skillet and cook until done, turning as needed.
Meanwhile, heat the remaining butter in a frying pan. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook slowly until the yolks are set (or desired doneness if you don't like the yolks to be runny).
To assemble: place once slice of tomato on each bottom bun. Top with a slice of onion, then a burger patty. Place one fried egg on top of each burger and put the top half of bun on top of the egg.
Serve immediately with any additional condiments as desired.
