Cola and French dressing are used both in the burger patties and as a tangy spread on the grilled buns. The sweet and tangy flavor brings your burgers to a new level.

1 egg
1/2 cup coca cola, divided
1/2 cup crushed saltine crackers
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
6 tablespoons creamy French salad dressing, divided
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 pound ground beef
6 hamburger buns, split
Preheat the grill to medium heat.
In a large bowl, combine the egg, half of the cola, the saltine crumbs, onion, 2 tablespoons of the french dressing, the Parmesan cheese, salt, and ground beef. Mix well and form into patties that are 3/4-inch thick.
In a bowl, stir together the remaining cola and French dressing.
Place the burgers on the grill and grill for 10 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time and basting occasionally with the sauce.
Place the buns on the grill and lightly toast. Brush the cut sides with some of the remaining sauce. Serve the burgers on the buns with any additional desired toppings.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
