It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

under 30 minutes
ingredients
2 pounds 80/20 ground beef
1/2 cup cracked black pepper
1 tablespoon sea salt
4 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
8 slices cooked applewood smoked bacon
4 hamburger buns
butter, for toasting
1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 large vine ripened tomato, sliced
2 large yellow or sweet vidalia onions
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup A1 steak sauce
1/2 tablespoon mixed herb seasoning and sea salt
directions
For the onions: Heat a saute pan to medium high heat and add the oil. Cut the onions into 1/4 inch slices and add to the pan. Continue to cook on medium high heat until they are well caramelized and light brown in color. Add the A1, herb seasoning and salt and stir until mixed through.
For the burgers: Assemble 8 oz burger patties with the ground chuck. Mix together cracked black pepper and salt in shallow dish. Coat both sides of burgers with pepper / salt mixture and set aside.
Grill burgers over medium high heat until just under the desired temperature. Top burgers with sliced cheddar cheese and continue grilling until cheese is melted evenly. Remove burgers from grill and let rest.
Butter both sides of hamburger buns and toast on grill until golden brown. Remove buns from grill and top with burger, and portions of each of sauteed onions, bacon, tomato and shredded lettuce.

Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
