The easy way to make a zesty bacon salad dressing starts with a packet of Italian dressing seasoning mix. Delicious on fresh spinach.

1 pound bacon
1 packet dry Italian salad seasoning mix
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
Cook the bacon in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove the bacon to paper toweling to drain. Reserve the bacon grease.
Add the salad seasoning mix to a heat-proof bowl. Slowly whisk 1/4 cup of the hot bacon grease into the seasoning mix. Whisk in the apple cider vinegar until mixed. If the dressing is too thick, whisk in a little water until it is the desired consistency.
Crumble the bacon and toss with the salad (spinach, romaine, etc) and any desired toppings. Drizzle the salad with the dressing and toss again to coat the salad in the dressing. Serve immediately.
