I find this recipe good but not equivilant to the Applebees recipie, the sauce is definetly not the same as in our applesbees.

the brownie part was better than applebees! best brownie I've ever had!!! the sause was not the same, but still tasty!

Did you use real maple syrup cause i did and it tasted identical try not using imation maple syrup i know its expensive but if you are looking for a identical then thats what ya gotta do

Every time we make this, it gets rave reviews! Making it again tonight to bring to a party--our only substitutions are that we stir in butterscotch chips instead of white chocolate chips and we leave the nuts in a dish to the side of the sauce in case some folks don't want them. There's NEVER any leftovers with this dessert. I use the real VT maple syrup, too, straight from a family member's sugar shack up in the hills!

I know what is missing in the maple butter sauce after experimenting in my kitchen to get the exact flavor of the sauce. It is around 4 oz of soften cream cheese to the mixture you already have and leave the nuts out. The one at the restaurant has a smooth tan color and a tang at the finish. That is what is missing in all the recipes I have been reading on this. Also the recipe only makes this thin strong nutty brownie (it is very tasty) in a 9x9 or smaller dish. The brownie served at applebee's is much "fuller" and fluffier than this one is.... still a great recipe though!

This brownie is delicious! The sauce - not so much. Definitely not like Applebee's and not very good. When I make it again, I will add less maple syrup which may be better. I also used butterscotch chips in the brownie and it was great!

Sauce tasted the same used real syrup. Blondie not quite the same but still very good.

White chocolate works better in the maple sauce and 350 degrees on top oven rack and spread dow thin about 1/2 inch in pan.

Wonderful! I used real maple syrup, and it turned out very similar to the Applebee's blondie. Careful, though, these seem to have aphrodisiac properties...!
