Teriyaki Steak Skewers

ingredients

1/2 cup steak sauce
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, 1 inch thick
2 red and/or green bell peppers, cut into squares
2 cups fresh or canned pineapple chunks

directions

Mix steak sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger.

Thinly slice steak and place in a nonmetal bowl or plastic bag. Add 1/4 cup sauce mixture and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, stirring often.

Remove meat from marinade and discard marinade. Alternately thread steak, peppers and pineapple onto 12-inch skewers. (Soak the skewers in water first).

Grill or broil for 5 minutes or until desired doneness, turning and brushing occasionally with remaining sauce mixture.
