This recipe was excellent. This was served at a meal during our tubing trip on the Frio River. Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe.

The day I wanted to make this recipe, I found myself without some of the ingredients and far from the store. I used chopped roasted filberts (AKA hazelnuts) in place of sunflower seeds. In place of the white vinegar, I used 2.5 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar. I enjoyed the zippier flavor. The salad must not have been good because I took it to a potluck at work where it got rave revues! For the record, there are diverse tastes amoung my co-workers
