Crockpot chicken wings could be a game changer. Marinated wings get tossed in the slow cooker a few hours before you need them. No more checking the oven during the game.
20 whole chicken wings
2 cups soy sauce
1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons ground ginger
Cut chick wings into 3 sections, discard wing tips. Place wings in a large resealable plastic bag. In a bowl combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour half of the sauce over the chicken; turn to coat. Seal. Refrigerate both chicken and remaining sauce overnight.
Drain chicken, discarding the marinade. Place chicken in 5 qt slow cooker. Top with remaining marinade. Cover and cook on low for 3 1/2 - 4 hours until chicken is tender. Transfer wings to serving dish. Discard sauce.

I thought these were good! I love soy sauce and didn't think it was too much. I used white wine instead of broth so maybe that helped cut down on the saltiness.

The wings were nice and tender but the soy flavor was just a little overpowering. They are marinated in soy and then cooked in soy which made the flavor a little too intense without really getting to taste the ginger or garlic.
