2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
3 tablespoons habanero sauce
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 ounces brown sugar
24 chicken wings
cayenne pepper or dried habanero flakes, to taste
In a large mixing bowl, combine vegetable oil, garlic powder, Tabasco sauce, habanero sauce, vinegar, and brown sugar.
Separate tips from wings and cut the wings into drummies and flappers. Add the chicken to the mixing bowl and toss to coat well in the sauce. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Drain the chicken from the sauce and place the wings on a rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle with the cayenne pepper or habanero flakes.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes, turning once, until the wings are browned.
Serve the wings hot with blue cheese or ranch dressing, if desired.
