This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.

These Italian BBQ chicken wings are a delicious and easy way to feed a crowd. The wings are cooked in a crock pot with a simple Italian-style sauce.

5 pounds chicken wings
1 jar (28 ounce size) plain, meatless spaghetti sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Trim the tips from the wings and separate into drummies and flappers. Place in the crock pot.
In a bowl, combine the spaghetti sauce, Worcestershire, molasses, mustard, salt, and pepper until well mixed. Pour evenly over the wings, gently stirring to coat them in the sauce.
Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 2-3 hours or until the wings are cooked through.
For crispier wings, remove the wings from the sauce when done and place on a baking sheet. Place under the broiler for 2-5 minutes or until they begin to brown.
Serve the BBQ chicken wings immediately.

A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

While this isn't a bad recipe, it's not really bbq. It's got a weird spaghetti flavor because of the molasses and mustard. Not bad, just unusual. I would have either preferred using plain tomato sauce to make it bbq flavor (with the other ingredients) or going more italian style and skipping the mustard and molasses and adding some italian seasoning. The wings were tender and we ate them but I would do it differently next time. Maybe it was the spaghetti sauce I used so more descriptive text than just "spaghetti sauce" would maybe help.
