ingredients
2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon Jamaican jerk seasoning
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 cups pecan halves
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a small bowl, stir together sugar, Jamaican jerk seasoning and pumpkin pie spice.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter or margarine. Add pecans and toss well to coat. Sprinkle with sugar-spice mixture and toss.
Spread nuts on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, mixing once or twice, or until lightly toasted.
Let cool completely, then store in airtight container.
NOTE: Watch carefully as these will brown quite quickly. These nuts will keep in refrigerator for over a month, or in the freezer for about 6 months.

This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
