Can you use nutmeg instead of cloves

I enjoyed this recipe the 2nd time around. My first batch burt a hole through my container!!!

    • That's why the recipe specifies a "microwave-safe" casserole dish.

  3. Santa Teacher REVIEW:

Just a couple batches divided up into little cellophane bags and tied with a red ribbon and my gift for all 10 teacher co-workers solved!

  4. dot REVIEW:

From experience I know my microwave always cooks faster so I used the lower time (4 minutes) and the pecans came out perfect. I later then tried a smaller batch and they did burn so lesson to be learned if you make the batch smaller reduce the time ... always better to put them back in for 30 seconds.

  5. Rachel REVIEW:

I followed this recipe to the letter but after only 2 minutes after mixing in the nuts my microwave was full of disgusting, burnt sugar smoke. Ruined the entire batch.

    • You need to watch it closely and stir more frequently if they burned.
