1/2 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups walnuts
In an iron skillet, stir together syrup, cinnamon, butter, and salt.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture becomes brown and starts to thicken (3 to 4 minutes). Add vanilla, then nuts and toss until nuts are covered. Cool on waxed paper.
