The traditional double-decker turkey club gets a California upgrade with the addition of avocado and alfalfa sprouts.
3 slices whole wheat bread
Miracle Whip salad dressing, as needed
leaf lettuce
4 slices baked turkey breast
1 fresh tomato, sliced
4 slices crisp bacon
1/2 fresh avocado, sliced
alfalfa sprouts, optional
Toast all the bread slices lightly. Spread one side of each slice with the salad dressing.
Place the toast slices, salad dressing side up, on a work surface. On one of the slices, layer a few leaves of lettuce, half of the turkey, half of the sliced tomato, half the bacon slices, half the sliced avocado, and half of the alfalfa sprouts. Top with another slice of toast, salad dressing side up. Top that slice with the remaining turkey, tomato, bacon, avocado, sprouts, and more lettuce. Place the remaining slice of toast, salad dressing side down, on the sandwich.
Carefully cut the sandwich on the diagonal and serve immediately.
