Add a splash of balsamic vinegar or soy sauce to enhance the umami flavor of the dish.

To make a creamy gravy, stir in a tablespoon of sour cream or heavy cream before serving.

Try different types of mushrooms for varied texture and flavors.

To make this dish more hearty, add diced potatoes or root vegetables to the crock pot during cooking.

Delicious! I was looking for a new way to prepare beef tips, and we had all of the ingredients already in the kitchen. It turned out great. Even my 10 year old, who is a very picky eater, was asking for seconds!
