This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

Almost as simple as it sounds. Butter and beef make up two out of three ingredients you need for this dish, but the addition of onion soup adds a savory touch and makes the saucy beef a killer match for creamy mashed potatoes.

3 pounds cubed beef stew meat
1/2 cup cold butter, cut in bits
1 envelope (1 ounce size) dry onion soup mix
Combine the beef and butter in a crock pot. Evenly sprinkle the onion soup mix over the beef.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours or high heat for 2-3 hours, or until the beef is tender.
Serve the beef and butter sauce over rice or pasta or mashed potatoes.
