Nov 5, 2013 tmillerMember since: July 15, 2013 The beef was very tender but it came out really salty. I think using reduced sodium chicken soup would help but the onion soup mix is very salty still. I did not have a sirloin but use a chuck roast, trimed of most the fat.I added 1/4 cup of burgundy wine, pepper and tsp.of oregano at the end. Thickened the gravy. Will use over rice. Jul 21, 2010 mnk82 thank you for sharing this. We loved it and I have been sharing it with others. The only thing I had to do was add some flour to thicken it up.
