Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.

A different way to serve cranberry sauce at the holidays. Slice canned cranberry sauce into layers and sandwich together with a filling of cream cheese, mayo, and pecans.
1 can (14 ounce size) jellied cranberry sauce, refrigerated
3 ounces softened cream cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped pecans
Mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise and pecans with a fork till smooth and spreadable.
Remove cranberry sauce from refrigerator, open can and slide sauce onto a plate so that it's laying on its side. With a sharp knife, cut it in half, then each half in half, then each quarter in half, so that you have eight equal slices.
With two spoons, take a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and place on half of the slices and spread it out with the back of the two spoons to the edges. Place another slice of cranberry sauce on top of each of the four. Refrigerate till ready to serve.
