A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

This baked cranberry sauce is almost as easy as opening a can of sauce but tastes worlds better.

4 cups fresh cranberries, rinsed and picked over
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon finely grated orange peel, optional
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the cranberries, sugar, water, and grated orange peel (if using) in a 9x13 baking dish. Mix well then cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes, stirring occasionally until the cranberries begin to burst.
Remove the baking dish from the oven and let the cranberries cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate the cranberry sauce until ready to serve.
