The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

This was very good and very easy. My only problem with it was that the sauce would not thicken. It reduced to less than 1/2. I also doubled the seasonings. Next time I will double the sauce and use Heaving Whipping Cream instead of just whipping cream.
