Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

This was very good. I was looking for a london broil recipe that did not involve grilling and this fit the bill. I did not have sweet paprika so I used a pinch of cinnamon instead. Super easy to prepare--put in crock pot and forget it. Great for a cold day!
