Korean Grilled Short Ribs With Pear-Garlic Marinade

ingredients
1 pear
6 cloves garlic
4 teaspoons fresh ginger, chopped
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons sesame oil
6 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
3 scallions, chopped
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
5 pounds English-style beef short ribs, deboned, at least 1 inch of meat above bone, sliced 1/2" thick and pounded to 1/4"
directions
Process pear, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oil, sugar, red pepper and vinegar in food processor, add scallions. Spread 1/3 marinade in 13" x 9" pan.
Layer 1/2 ribs, then 1/3 marinade. Layer remaining ribs over top, top with last 1/3 marinade. Marinate for 4-12 hours.
Heat grill to hot. Grill ribs over hot side of grill turning 3-4 times, until well browned on both sides, 7-12 minutes. Serve immediately.

This was easy to prepare and absolutely delicious. As the snow was still deep outside, we grilled them under the broiler 5 minutes a side. Very eay, very tasty
