Nutritional data has not been calculated yet.Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Only change I make is to use hot sausage instead of sweet. Love this recipe.

I just wanted to try something different with some green beans I had in the fridge. I came across this recipe and saw I had all the ingredients. So I decided to give it a try.It turned out better then I expected.I did few minor changes.I added a pinch of cayenne pepper and Italian seasoning. After browning the sausage I deglazed the pan with a little white wine. I added about half to all the other ingredients in the Crock Pot.I added the Parmesan when the dish had 45 minutes left to cook. The overall dish was great and the sauce was delish. I ate this with flat bread and it went well with the sauce.
