ingredients

1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 small onion, chopped
3 1/2 pounds beef chuck blade steak (3/4- to 1-inch thick)

directions

Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes then cool.

Pour into plastic bag with meat. Refrigerate for 8 to 10 hours or overnight.

Broil for 8 to 10 minutes on each side (for rare or medium doneness). To serve, cut across grain into thin slices.
