6 sweet potatoes, peeled 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup butter, melted 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup applesauce 2 tablespoons butter 1/2 cup pecan pieces
Cut potatoes into one inch chunks and place in crockpot. Combine brown sugar, first measure of butter, cinnamon, and apple sauce in small bowl; blend and pour over potatoes. Cover crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours until potatoes are tender.
When ready to serve, melt remaining butter in small skillet; add pecan pieces. Cook over low heat for 5-6 minutes. Sprinkle over sweet potatoes and serve.

Wow--I made these as a last minute item when I couldn't find the ones in the box. They were delicious. I mixed them up, cooked them in the microwave for four minutes, then dumped them in the crock pot for two hours. Everyone raved about them.

This recipe was just awesome, leftovers were even better the next day. I cooked this recipe in the oven at 375 degrees for an hour because I did'nt have time to do the crock pot version. The combination of the apple sauce,brown sugar,cinnanmon, and butter was the perfect match up for sweet potatoes. I'll make this dish every "Turkey Time". Thanks!

sweet potato maker
very easy recipe, i cut my potatoes the night before so in the morning i added the rest of the ingredients and turned it on.
everyone (33 people) said they were the best sweet potatoes they ever had. i did not add the pecans because my husband does not like them.
