ingredients
1 container (16 ounce size) ready to spread chocolate frosting, divided
24 baked cupcakes
12 Halloween-themed chocolate sandwich cookies
black shoestring licorice
candy corn
cocktail peanuts
cinnamon red hots
colored sprinkles
assorted miniature jelly beans

Reserve 1/4 cup of the chocolate frosting for decorating, then frost the tops of cupcakes with remaining chocolate frosting. Split cookies, leaving filling on 1 side of each cookie.
Decorate with orange filling or split cookies to resemble cat faces using licorice for whiskers, candy corn for noses, and securing with a small amount of frosting.
Use plain split cookies for bat wings. Decorate with colored sprinkles, securing with a small amount of frosting. Stand cat faces on edge on top of half the cupcakes. Place a 3 inch piece of licorice behind each cat face for a tail.
Arrange bat wings on top of remaining cupcakes to resemble bats. Place jelly in center of each bat, securing with a small amount of frosting.
