ingredients
18 chocolate wafers
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 package (6 ounce size) chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 pint chocolate ice cream
1 quart orange sherbet
directions
Crush wafers; place in bowl. Add sugar and melted butter; mix well. Press into 9-inch pie plate; chill.
Place chocolate chips and cream in saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted. Stir in vanilla; chill until thickened.
Stir in chocolate ice cream until smooth; spoon into crust. Spread 3/4 of the chocolate sauce over ice cream; return to freezer until firm.
Soften sherbet; spoon over chocolate sauce. Drizzle remaining chocolate sauce on top.
Freeze until firm.
