This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

These cookies are perfect for Halloween, April Fool's day, or anytime you want a gross but funny treat.

Chocolate ingredients
1/2 cup honey
2/3 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla or peppermint extract
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
grape-nuts cereal
Gingerbread ingredients
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup molasses
2/3 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
2 1/3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
grape-nuts cereal
Mix-ins
coconut
chocolate chips
butterscotch chips
peanut butter chips
To make:
For each flavor: Microwave the honey till it bubbles(about 1 minute). Add the butter, and the molasses, if any. Add the egg, mix well, then mix in all the other stuff. Add mix-ins of your choice to some or all of the batter.
Chill 1 hour in the freezer or several hours in the fridge. Roll dough logs of random length and the diameter of cat poops. Roll logs in grape-nuts and bake at 350 degrees F till done (10 to 15 minutes).
Serve in a disposable cat litter box on a bed of grapenuts, with a cat litter scoop. I hear you get lovely effects by decorating the box and scoop with melted chocolate or pudding.
This recipe worked especially well at the halloween party where the table was already decorated with plastic flies

Absolutely hysterical results with this one. You won't believe how accurately colored the er, cookies are. The chocolate ones are a nice, deep, dark brown and the gingerbread ones have that wonderful ashen-grey tone. Subtle, but effective. With two different kinds of cookie, even your most "finicky" friends will have to try just one! Do buy some extra chocolate chips to melt for that finishing touch. Drizzle in large piles among the cookies, smearing some along the sides of the box. At first I thought the cookies needed some sugar, but the chips in the cookies and the melted chocolate on the outside gave it the right amount of sweetness. I recommend a nice, full-bodied "mew-lot" with this one. Have fun!
