This sweet and creamy maple sauce can be used for breakfast on pancakes or waffles, or as a dessert over ice cream or cheesecake.

ingredients

1 cup real maple syrup
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
chopped pecans, for garnish

directions

Combine the maple syrup and butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup mixture cool for 3-4 minutes.

Stir the evaporated milk into the syrup and mix well.

Use the sauce as desired and garnish with pecans.
