These waffles are for the dessert lover! Start with mini frozen waffles (or homemade if you're feeling industrious) and top them with Nutella and caramel sauce. Decadent!

8 frozen mini waffles, about 2-inches in diameter
1/2 cup Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread
1/4 cup dulce de leche spread or caramel sauce
Toast the waffles as directed on the package until they are lightly browned. Let cool slightly.
Top each waffle with 1 tablespoon of the hazelnut spread then top each with 1/2 tablespoon of the dulce de leche. Stack two (or more) of the waffles together.
Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. Serve immediately.
Drizzle additional dulce de leche or caramel sauce over the finished waffles.
Try different spreads like almond butter or cookie butter.
To add a crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts or granola on top of the waffles before serving.
You can use homemade waffles if you prefer. Just make sure they are mini-sized to keep the proportions similar.
Nutella is a popular chocolate hazelnut spread. It adds a rich and chocolatey flavor to the waffles, pairing well with the dulce de leche.
You can use caramel sauce as a substitute for dulce de leche.
Get creative with your garnishes! You can add chopped nuts, fresh berries, chocolate shavings, or even a sprinkle of sea salt.
Toaster or Toaster Oven: For toasting the frozen mini waffles until they are lightly browned according to package instructions. You can also use a regular oven if needed.
Measuring Cups: For measuring the Nutella and dulce de leche.
Spatula: For spreading the Nutella and dulce de leche on the waffles evenly.
