2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 ground pork sausage roll
1/2 cup rolled oatmeal
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
1/2 onion, finely chopped
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon A1 steak sauce
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar, divided
1/2 cup ketchup

Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Remove from oven, and drain.
Stir together ketchup and remaining brown sugar; pour over meatloaf. Bake 15 more minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion registers 160 degrees F. Remove from oven; let stand 20 minutes. Remove from baking dish before slicing.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.

Amazingly delicious!! Here are the recipe modifications that I used: I used 1 lb. of Ground Turkey and 1 lb. of very lean Ground Beef and some left over Salami Sausage (approx.. ¼ lb). Soy sauce instead of steak sauce and NO brown sugar. The ketchup and the honey mustard that I had added enough sweetness. I also added 2 strips of bacon on top. Totally delicious! Thanks much.

My family's been using this recipe for years. We had the butcher mix it up with a little ham and called it Ham Loaf
