Swiss Cheese Meat Loaf

ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
2 cans (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon thyme
8 slices Swiss cheese
directions
Mix all the ingredients except the cheese together in a bowl. Put half of mixture in greased loaf pan. Layer the cheese on top of the meat mixture. Then put the rest of the meat mixture on top of the cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. If you like put some ketchup on top of the meat loaf before you bake it for added flavor.
