Applesauce Meatloaf

ingredients
1 1/2 pound extra-lean ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 cup finely diced onion
1  egg, beaten
3/4 cup applesauce
1 cup bread crumbs
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9- x 5- x 3-inch loaf pan. 
 In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. Place the meatloaf mixture in the prepared pan. 
 Bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Let cool 10 minutes, then remove to a platter and slice.

I suppose it depends on the breadcrumbs but I felt that 3/4 applesauce was too much. Ended up adding more crumbs to make it firmer. Would definitely use less applesauce to start next time. Good overall flavor but because I had to add more crumbs the balance was off so it was more bready than I think it should be. Will try again.
