Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Not one of my favorite experiences. I made this recipe once and it was such a disaster that I have not attempted it again. Mine came out looking all deformed and burnt in places while under cooked in others. While it appears pretty simple and straight forward my dough kept sticking to everything and when I rolled it up and cut it half the filling spilled out all over the place. It didn't taste much better than it looked :( Perhaps someone who has had better luck with this recipe would be kind enough to share their experience so I might learn from it?
