Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Love buffalo wings? Get that same hot, zippy flavor in everything from deviled eggs to enchiladas. And of course: wings.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

The southwest flavor of this is great, but there is WAY too much salt! Next time, I'll just omit the salt on the rub and then salt afterwards if needed (I don't think it's needed - pork is salty enough!). At the very least, cut down the salt significantly if you think it's necessary to include in the rub.
