Pizza Loaves Recipe

Ingredients:
1 sourdough baguette (long French bread; 8 ounce size)
1 1/4 pound extra lean ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 can (8 oz. size) tomato sauce
1 dash pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded Mozzarella or Jack cheese
Directions:
Split bread lengthwise, cut in halves. Remove soft center, leaving 1/2" crust. Pat ground beef over bread to edges. Place meat-stuffed bread on broiler pan. Place as far as from heat source as possible. Broil at 375 for 10 minutes.
Combine garlic, onion, tomato sauce, pepper, 1/2 tsp. oregano and Parmesan cheese. Spoon over meat. Broil 10 minutes longer. Sprinkle with Mozzarella or Jack cheese and remaining oregano. Broil 3-5 minutes longer until cheese melts and meat is cooked. Serve immediately.
NOTES: You may also add whatever toppings you prefer to these to make original pizzas, green peppers, pepperoni, mushrooms, etc.
