Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Chicken and Hot Pepper Pizza

ingredients
1 large Boboli pizza crust
olive oil
1/3 cup herb flavored ricotta cheese
1 cooked, boneless chicken breast, sliced (this is a good use for leftover grilled chicken)
1 hot banana pepper, sliced
OR
1/4 cup pickled jalapeno slices
1/4 cup sliced red or Vidalia onion
1 tablespoon chopped basil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Place pizza crust on a pizza pan. Brush with olive oil. Spread ricotta cheese on crust. Arrange chicken slices, onion slices and pepper slices on top of of cheese. Sprinkle with chopped basil and top with Parmesan cheese.
Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and toppings are hot. Slice and serve.
