1/2 cup diced tomato

Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the crust with half of the Monterey Jack cheese. Evenly top the cheese with the chicken, jalapenos, onion, and diced tomato.

Place the pizza in the oven and bake at 450 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Cut the southwest chicken pizza into wedges and serve.

recipe tips

Preheat the oven with a pizza stone inside for a crisper crust.

Brush the crust with olive oil before adding toppings for extra flavor.

Distribute the toppings evenly for consistent flavor in every bite.

Use cooked and seasoned chicken for better taste and texture.

Slice the jalapenos thinly for even distribution of heat.

Drain the tomatoes if they are too juicy to prevent a soggy crust.

Consider adding a layer of refried beans under the cheese for a unique twist.

Garnish with fresh cilantro or a squeeze of lime juice after baking for added freshness.

Serve with a side of sour cream or guacamole for dipping.

If using a thicker crust, adjust the baking time accordingly.

Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing to prevent the cheese from sliding off.

Experiment with different seasoning blends on the chicken for variety.

For a smoky flavor, consider adding a bit of chipotle pepper or smoked paprika.

Pair with a light salad or a cold beer for a complete meal.

For a lower-calorie option, use a thin crust and reduced-fat cheese.
