It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Prepare the Tartar Topping by combining all ingredients; blend well.
Prepare the pizza: Sprinkle half the cheese over the hush puppy crust; place the flaked fish over the cheese. Pour the Tartar Topping over the fish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Combine hush puppy mix and butter; sprinkle over top of cheese.
Bake in a hot 400 degrees F oven for 20 to 22 minutes. Serve hot.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

I'll be honest, I tried this pizza purely because it sounded so odd and I just had to see what kind of trainwreck it would turn out to be. My apologies for assuming it wouldn't work. The crust was good but not really pizza-ish so that might throw some people off. I'm wondering if one could use the hush puppy mix with a different dough (or maybe just use a regular crust). I really did like the hush puppy crispy topping though. This was sort of like eating a full fish fry menu but in pizza form. I have to say, I didn't think I'd be coming back here raving about it, but this is a fun and unique pizza recipe. If you are adventurous (and like catfish) then I can highly recommend you try this for something different. Thank you for coming up with this unique combo!
