Classic Pound Cake With Chocolate Ganache

Cake
1 package (16 ounce size) classic pound cake mix
1/3 cup water
2 eggs
8 tablespoons butter, melted
Chocolate Ganache
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
For Cake: Place all cake ingredients in large bowl. Using an electric mixer, mix on low speed for 10-15 seconds or until moistened. Change to high speed and mix 1 minute. Scrape bowl. Continue to mix on high speed 30 seconds.
Spoon batter into lightly greased, 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake 55-65 minutes. Cool completely. Set aside.
For Chocolate Ganache: In small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat just until low boil. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
Pour ganache over cooled cake. Chill until ready to serve.
