7-Up Pound Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
10 ounces 7-up
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1 1/2 teaspoon lemon flavoring


DIRECTIONS:

Cream butter and shortening. Mix together sugar and eggs, then flour and 7-Up and then flavoring. Cook in the middle of oven for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees F in a preheated oven.

This is a great recipe. It comes out PERFECT every time! I also add a lemon drizzle that really sets it off nicely. Its 2 cups Confetioners Sugar, 2 Tablespoons of butter, 1 Tablespoon of Hot water, 1/3 cup lemon juice. Heat and stir on low 2 minutes or until well blended and then drizzle on cool cake. It makes it go from good to great!!!
