Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

My mother found this recipe in the newpaper many years ago. I have long since left home and I make this for my family. Great fast dinner, very good flavor, even better the next night. Very filling !! Ingrediets most have on hand. Highly Recommended !!!
