Making your own rice pilaf seasoning mix is easy and economical, and it allows you to control the ingredients and flavor. Simply sprinkle it into the rice while cooking.

1 tablespoon instant chicken bouillon
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl until well mixed. Pour into an air-tight container or jar with lid and store for up to 6 months.
To use, sprinkle one teaspoon (or more if desired) into rice while cooking to season it for rice pilaf.
