2 tablespoons yeast
2 cups white bread flour
1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
7/8 cup water
Topping
olive oil
poppy seeds, sesame seeds or cornmeal
Combine the yeast, flour, sugar, salt, and water in the bread machine in the order recommended by the machine manufacturer.
Select regular bread and light crust setting.
When the bake cycle completes, let the bread cool for 5 minutes then remove from the pan. Place the bread on a cooling rack and lightly brush the top of the loaf with olive oil and sprinkle with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or cornmeal. Let cool completely before slicing or storing.
