I've made this recipe 4 times and really like the taste, but the top has caved every time :(
I tried decreasing the water by 2 T. but that didn't work.
I tried decreasing the yeast by 1/4 tsp but that didn't work. I did that because I'm using rapid rise instant yeast (for bread machines) rather than dry active yeast.
I add the honey to the water, then the flour and dry ingredients on top of the water, along with the butter.
Not sure what else to try...anyone have any suggestions?
Try decreasing the amount of water by a tablespoon.

Loved this bread. I have tried a number of bread machine recipes, and this is my favorite, by far. Very moist, with a really nice texture.

I just made this recipe. It is absolutely delicious!!it's fluffy and crunchy. You can't stop eating it. My only changes I made: used soy milk instead of water and didn't use the powder milk, set the crust on medium. Our favorite so far of all our bread machine recipes.

I followed this recipe exactly the first time and it was good. When I made it the second time I added 1/2 tsp. of vital wheat gluten, and it was amazing!

I made this recipe today in my bread maker. It is really good flavored, but my loaf fell and I am not sure why. Can anyone give insight? I followed the recipe and added ingredients according to my bread maker.
Try reducing the liquid a little. It may be that your flour was different and it just needs a little less liquid.

This is an excellent recipe...one of my favorites for sure. I mix it in my bread maker, and then transfer it to a bread pan to rise and cook.

I added wheat germ for a little texture, but it came out amazing. Rich taste, nice and light. I will definitely make it again.

This is the first from scratch recipe that has actually turned out in my bread machine I normally get bricks. I had thought I was stuck with prepackaged mixes. The only modification I made was substituting smart balance oil for the melted butter.

I am a complete novice to breadmakers, breadmaking, and pretty much anything in the kitchen. Just got a breadmaker for Christmas and tried this recipe - we loved it! The bread is soft, a little sweet, and delicious! My whole family (including kindergartener and toddler) loved it. Will definitely be making this our every day bread recipe. I used all milk instead of powdered milk and water (since I didn't have powdered milk), and I added one extra tablespoon of honey after one of the reviewers said she'd doubled the honey. It was perfect! The only thing I will change next time is that I will set my breadmaker to 'light crust' as it came out quite dark, especially on the bottom when I had it set to medium.

I made this bread in my bread machine almost as written with a couple of exceptions. I substituted 2/3 cup Semolina flour for 2/3 cup bread flour. (I do this for all my bread and pizza dough). I find the Semolina makes for a softer texture. I used King Arthur Flour's White Whole Wheat for the ww, and Canola oil instead of butter. Because I used oil, I removed 2 tablespoons of the water. Very happy with the results and will make again. Thanks.

Very good!! Been looking for a good healthy bread for some time. I switched a few things..... I used extra virgin olive oil instead of butter, I used two cups of whole wheat flour and 3/4 cup of bread flour, I also used 2 tbsp of wheat gluten, added 1 egg, and used flavored oatmeal.

This bread is excellent! I didn't have powdered milk, so I used 3/4C milk (heated) and the rest water. I also increased the honey by double and added a little extra wheat germ. This bread is tender, sweet, and chewy. So far I've only had it hot out of the bread maker, but I think it will be good as toast, too. Yum! Thanks for encouraging me to make homemade bread for my family on a regular basis!

A very good recipe, worked well in my finicky bread machine, moist, chewy and sweet! Highly recommend it!
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
