A crock pot version of the classic dish, chicken and noodles. Just four simple ingredients (plus any seasonings you like) and your delicious meal is effortlessly assembled.
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
salt
black pepper
garlic powder
2 cans (10.75 ounce size) cream of chicken soup
2 cans (15 ounce size) chicken broth
1 package (16 ounce size) homestyle frozen egg noodles
Cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks. Lightly season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place in the crock pot.
In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth until mixed. Pour over the chicken.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 2 hours.
Increase heat to high and stir in the frozen egg noodles. Cook for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the noodles are done. Serve hot.
Alternately, you can cook dry egg noodles as directed on the package and stir in the cooked egg noodles during the last 30 minutes of cooking if you don't have the frozen kind on hand.

Bowl: To mix together the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth before pouring over the chicken in the crock pot.

Made this , only used 32 ounce low sodium chicken broth , and used no salt because of soup . It was delicious. Also only used two chicken breasts to cut calories even more.

salty from the soup but not a ton of flavor. i will add more next time.
Can I sub The best part of the chicken, Dark meat with bones.
Dark meat works great in this recipe however you will want to use boneless.
Could I add a frozen veggie at the same I add the noodles - such as frozen peas?
Sure!
Can you cook this on high in crock-pot?
You can if you have a crock pot that doesn't cook too "hot" otherwise the chicken might get dried out.

If you need a tasty, affordable dinner option for the whole family, this is it! The slow cooker helps all of the flavors of the chicken and spices meld together for a simple, filling recipe that basically cooks itself!

For simplicity, I buy the chicken pre-chunked. I just toss it all together, adding the egg noodles during the last hour or so. I don't use frozen noodles, just dry ones. They cook no problem.

I loved it. Kids thought it was just "ok" or I would have rated it higher. I might use a little more chicken next time; just personal preference. Will definitely make again.
This has become my staple recipe for entertaining. Easy for a good weeknight meal and even a dinner party. I've done it with veal, pork, and chicken, all with rave reviews. Probably my most requested meal.

Yummy! I've given this recipe to some of my friends, it was really good! This is much better than canned chicken noodle soup.
